Benefits of Full-Arch Restoration
A smile is an important part of how you present yourself and a reflection of how you feel. When you have missing or failing teeth, it can affect your self confidence because your smile is incomplete. Dental implants are a popular restoration option because of their versatility.
Removable dentures and bridges only sit on top of the bony ridge in the mouth and do not prevent jaw bone loss. Dental implants are the only replacement option that fuse to the jaw bone over time, providing stimulation to keep the jaw healthy. Patients who choose to replace teeth with fixed dentures will also benefit from the following:
- Improved self-confidence. Not having a full set of teeth can dramatically impact your self-esteem. Full-arch restoration will replace your missing teeth and give you a smile you can be proud of.
- Full oral function. A fixed denture fuses to the jaw bone and becomes a permanent part of your smile. Your new teeth will remain in your mouth during eating and cleaning, and function with the same strength as healthy natural teeth.
- Natural looking results. Your restorative dentist will custom design your new arch of teeth to match your mouth and aesthetic goals. You will be able to eat, smile, and laugh with complete confidence.
- One cost-effective procedure. Full-arch restoration is incredibly efficient. In as little as one surgical procedure oral surgeons can restore an entire arch of teeth and provide same-day results.

Pro Arch
Straumann® Pro Arch is an excellent implant system for edentulous patients (no remaining teeth) with low bone availability. Patients who do not qualify for traditional dental implant placement can now replace multiple missing teeth. In one surgical visit four implant posts are inserted to secure a fixed prosthesis for a new arch of natural-looking teeth. Learn more about Straumann Pro Arch and dental implants.
All-on-4® Treatment Concept
The All-on-4 treatment concept is a graftless full-arch solution that provides patients with an immediate full-arch prosthesis. This cost-efficient system is popular for both simple and complex restoration cases because it does not require bone grafts reducing the cost of fully replacing an arch of teeth. In one surgical visit patients can achieve a new natural looking arch of teeth. Learn more about the All-on-4 treatment concept.
The Full-Arch Restoration Procedure
The first step in the full-arch restoration process is a consultation to examine your bone and gum health, the number of missing and remaining teeth, and your overall oral health. We will take 3D scans of your mouth that will serve as detailed surgical guides for the precise placement of your implant. Once we have determined the correct course of treatment, we will schedule your surgical appointment and also discuss your anesthesia options.
Most patients choose to undergo IV sedation during the procedure, which puts you into a sleep-like state. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will extract any remaining teeth left in the dental arch and place the implant posts. Once the implants are placed, your oral surgeon will place sutures to close any incisions and attach your final prosthesis. You will leave our office with a permanent new set of teeth that you will be proud of.
